Announcing the 2024 AGM dates.

The currently elected committee members are deemed to be hold their position until the conclusion of the next AGM.
Greg - Chair
Blair - Player rep
Bruni - Treasurer
Joseph - Committee member
Chris - ST rep

I am attaching a copy of the constitution as it stands. AGM has currently no items on it apart from committee reports and election of officers for 2024.

  • Players of the game are not required to become members of the club
  • Only members of the club can vote on changes to the constitution or other club matters
  • Membership is $10 per year
  • Members of the club get one free game per year (so like it’s free right)
  • New members of the club (not previously been members) also get their 5th game of the year free
  • Anyone paying their $10 membership fees by the cutoff date below will be a member for the Apr24-Mar25 financial year and eligible to vote at the AGM and/or stand for committee positions.

To pay membership use the details on your online payment to the bankl account as below or advise Bruni when you pay the cash.

AGM Venue: Normal game venue.
AGM Date: Sat 17th August 2024 at 6pm sharp (before game)
Cutoff for Proxy Votes: Thursday 16th August at 6pm (To Chair)
Cutoff for payment of membership fees: Thursday 16th August at 6pm (To Treasurer or bank account so they have time to prepare reports accurately)
Cutoff for Agenda Items: Sat 10th August 2024 at 6pm

If anyone wants to nominate someone for one of the positions of Chair, Treasurer, Player rep or general committee member please do so as a comment to this post. If you are nominated then pls reply to indicate if you accept or decline it.

The 4th committee position (general member) is to avoid tie break decisions being cast by the Chair.

The 5th committee position (ST) is appointed by the ST team to represent their interests on the committee. At present this is Chris.

If there is a change of committee members then banking will stay with the outgoing members until such time as the new reps get their access sorted.

Questions can be asked as comments to this post please.

Submissions for the agenda can be added to the post for that effect also.

I would like to Nominate Lillianna Rohan (aka @Alice_Bones) as Player Rep for the upcoming committee elections.

The player rep is there to advocate for players to the committee on any matter, to be forward thinking about player welfare, and anything else they can think of to make the game enjoyable for the players.

@Bruni_Unknown can you post a members list please as nominations are limited to that list.

I was hoping to not stand for the committee this year so looking for some of the younger players to direct and shape the club how they want it.

This is not an arduous role and most months requires no time spent asides from a 2 minute chat before games.

This is a democracy style agm. More than one candidate can be nominated for each position.
